Greyhound Sports Management gifts’ cash rewards to athletes

For the dazzling performances by athletes at the Okowa Post COVID-19 Meet in Asaba held yesterday, November 6th, the Manager of Greyhound Sports Management, Sussex, Mr Oghenekaro Oboido decided to gift winners in the Sprint and some field events a cash prize of N10, 000 while 2nd place finishers get N5, 000 each.

Speaking with Athletic Heat, his motive is to encourage the athletes as the National Sports Festival is fast approaching. While he acknowledges that it was an impromptu giveaway, he however said he would love to extend to other events at subsequent competitions.

Talented thrower, Princess Kara who smashed her previous Personal Best of 50.08m, won the event with 50.89m.
