The Second edition of Femi Ogunode Athletics Challange holds tomorrow.
Talented Nigerian born Qatari sprint star, Femi Ogunode who last year decided to give back to his fatherland, Nigeria even after been sidelined by her federation, started an Athletics Challenge where athletes from all over the nation would slug it out on the track.
“I believe in giving back to people. While I was growing up, I saw how we young athletes suffered to make headway in athletics. Nobody gave us a chance to showcase our talent”.
“Last year, I thought within myself that it was time to give back to the society especially the young athletes, so I decided that if i start this foundation, I will be helping athletics at the grassroots level.”
Femi Ogunode who is the fastest man in Asia with a PB of 9.91s also has a football Academy for young children in Nigeria and the academy is doing so well.
Just like last year, Femi has stated through the Femi Ogunode Foundation facebook page that monetary prizes and gifts would be given to Top 3 athletes in the 100m, 200m, 400m and Long Jump.
One great attraction for athletes who will be present is that, they will also have the opportunity to register for the EasyGo to USA.
Femi Seun Ogunode Foundation and an international recruiting agency, EasyGo to USA Llc, will work together to help young and talented high school student-athletes from Nigeria and Qatar by sending them to the United States college system for 4 years higher education track and field and university programs.
